preventive care and healthy lifestyle

See one of our Merryland Doctors for a 100% rebate on your health insurance for OSHC students and international visitors!

Our clinic fees are designed to benefit our patients. We only charge the Medicare rate (MBS rate), which means you do not have to pay anything out of pocket . Nearly all insurances (even a most basic level of cover) will cover the MBS rate at the bare minimum. Here are a few reasons to pick our clinic for your next GP visit!

  1. Zero cost GP visits !
If you are worried about the out-of-pocket payment, don’t worry, we will never make you pay to see our GP’s! We only charge what all insurances cover and claim it instantly with your insurance card, so you would never have to open your wallet. If you are unsure, give your insurance agency a call and ask if they cover the medicare rate or MBS rate. Most other clinics specifically charge an out-of-pocket expense for students and visitors because they know you have to claim it back later. If you don’t get the full amount, they usually say it is something you need to discuss with your insurance. We are not like that. We specifically aim to help our patients get the most out of their insurance. We are transparent with how we do things, so in a sign of good faith you can ask your insurance what they cover on the following GP consultations:
    • Level B consult – Item 23 – $38.75 (Consultation between 5mins -20mins)
    • Level C consult – Item 36 –  $75.05 (Consultation between 20mins -40mins)
    • Level D consult – Item 44 – $110.50 (Consultation above 40mins)
      • Updated 26/4/2021 – If prices above change due to medicare paying different amounts for these services they will be updated to the MBS rate ONLY (never more).
      • We understand most international students have it tough when it comes to living expenses, jobs, and university fees. We don’t want to make it tougher than it needs to be, which is why we try to go the extra mile for our international visitors.
  2. Direct claiming for NIB, AHM, BUPA on GP visits!
As a bonus for patients that are with NIB, AHM, or BUPA- you don’t even need to put your money on the line. We claim directly from our terminal using ONLY your private health insurance card and nothing else! This is extremely useful when you are short on cash flow and NEED to see the doctor. The other benefit is you don’t have to sit and wait to see when the insurance will pay you, or what percentage the insurance will pay! Everything is handled internally for your peace of mind!
  3. Zero Costs Pathology visits!
We go the extra mile for our international patients and make sure that they do not get charged any out-of-pocket expenses for any kind of blood tests, spirometry, ECG, or any other testing. The item numbers for pathology services are dependent on what you require to get tested, but rest assured we only partner with Pathology companies that do not charge anything extra other than the MBS rate!
  4. We are accommodating!
We have doctors that are fluent in multiple languages and can understand your exact needs. There is no need for translators who may translate incorrectly on your behalf when our doctors know the language. Our doctors can speak Arabic, Hindi, Korean, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Urdu. If there are any issues with billing we are more than happy to address them!

OSHC students and international visitors get a 100% Rebate with Woodville Rd Medical and Dental Centre

Understanding the Medicare system for OSHC students and international visitors

We understand that there are heaps of questions behind a medicare system that OSHC students and international visitors may not be familiar with when it10050 comes to GP consultations. Rest assured it is not as complex as you might think.

  1. Medicare covers the majority of all GP and pathology services. Medicare cards are given to PR and Australian citizens.
  2. Private health insurance is for International visitors and OSHC students to make sure they are covered for any basic health needs.
  3. When you come in for a consult as an international visitor or OSHC student, your private health insurance covers the cost of your GP visit usually up to the MBS rate. On higher levels of cover, it might cover more.
    • Some clinics recognize this and charge extra to the OSHC insurances, but usually, it’s international patients or students that end up paying that extra money.
    • We DO NOT charge any out-of-pocket expenses and only charge the MBS rate.
    • If your GP clinic has direct claiming from the HICAPS terminal then you can claim directly from the Insurance. In this instance, you won’t have to pay any money upfront. If a GP clinic is old school and doesn’t have direct claiming, then you will need to pay upfront and hope that your insurance pays the full amount (indirect claiming). In this instance, depending on the item numbers placed and how much they charged you- you may not get the full amount back.

For example

      • Clinic 1 Direct claiming (Woodville Rd Medical and Dental).
        1. After your consult, you would wipe your private health insurance card on the terminal.
        2. That is it. Job all done. Simple as that. No money exchanged.
      • Clinic 2 Indirect claiming (Generic other clinics).
        1. After your consult, the doctor will let you know which item it is and how much you will need to pay. Now, this is where it gets tricky.
        2.  If it’s a Level B consult, and you for example you are charged $70 then you must pay $70 at the counter.
          1. You will then have to send the claim to your insurance.
          2. But insurances typically only pay the MBS rate which is below (item 23 – $38.75)
          3. Which means they will only reimburse you $38.75 in a few days or a week. You would be out of pocket by $31.25.

Well, how could you know what the item was and whether there would be a gap? Who do you complain to that you had to pay $31.25? If you had asked how much the consultation was before, then you have gotten the response, “It depends on the duration of the consultation” (Scroll down for more information about consult duration and item numbers). Couldn’t he have charged me a higher-level consultation instead of a lower-level consultation? (medicare audits the time and would be illegal).

The Ultimate Guide To Online Dating

The app Hornet, which caters to the gay male community, has seen a 30-percent increase in social feed engagement since social distancing measures began in mid-March, according to CEO Christof Wittig. And the dating app Tinder reported that it saw more engagement on March 29 than on any other day in its history, with more than 3 billion users swiping to connect with people, according to an April 1 press release. In 2020, online dating revenue in the U.S. amounted to 602 million U.S. dollars, and it is projected to reach 755 billion U.S. dollars by 2024. The number of users is also expected to see an annual increase, with 53.3 million Americans expected to use internet dating services in 2024, up from 44.2 million users in 2020. That year, paying customers accounted for approximately 15 percent of U.S. online dating users. While many dating sites and apps are free, some platforms use a freemium pricing model that supports online purchases.

  • Some online dating apps have been working on implementing new features to prevent catfishing—other companies are even producing AI intelligence to fend against it.
  • The revenue from this industry and its frequency of use are astronomical.
  • Even if the person you’re meeting volunteers to pick you up, avoid getting into a vehicle with someone you don’t know and trust, especially if it’s the first meeting.
  • OkCupidwas created in 2004 by a group of friends from Harvard University.

When you engage in social events where you’re likely to meet new people, the pool of those who are single and looking is much smaller than when you’re on an app or dating site where everyone is in the same boat as you. Research shows, however, there are negative side effects of online dating, particularly for young women. People cite the obvious reasons for being on dating apps, such as seeking a long-term partner or a sexual encounter; the split is fairly even.

Reasons to get an Iron Infusion today!

February 8, 2022

Reasons to get an Iron Infusion today!

An iron infusion may be given if a person’s blood counts are so low that taking iron supplements or increasing their daily intake of iron-containing foods would be ineffective or too slow in increasing their iron levels.

Iron is one of the minerals in the human body. It is one of the components of hemoglobin, the substance in red blood cells that helps blood carry oxygen throughout the body.

If you do not have enough iron, your body cannot make hemoglobin, and you may develop anemia. This is known as iron-deficiency anemia, the most common type of anemia.

Factors that can lower your body’s supply of iron include:

  • Blood loss (caused by ulcers, some cancers, and other conditions; and, in women, during monthly periods)
  • diet that doesn’t have enough iron in it
  • Taking medications that interfere with the ability of the body to absorb iron
  • An increase in the body’s need for iron (for instance, in women during pregnancy)

What are the symptoms of anemia?

There are several symptoms that may occur in all types of anemia. They are:

If you are experiencing one of the following symptoms, please see our doctors so we can help you identify and solve the issue.

How is iron deficiency treated through Iron Infusions?

There are several ways to replace and restore iron stores in the body:

  1. Oral iron in the form of tablets or liquid
  2. Intravenous (IV) infusion.
  3. Intramuscular iron (injection into the muscle). This is painful, causes skin staining, and should be avoided.

The use of oral iron is the most common way of replacing iron and is often suitable and effective.

Oral iron is not a suitable option for everyone. The intravenous method can be considered in certain circumstances such as:

  • Difficulty taking oral iron due to side effects
  • Unable to absorb oral iron
  • Ongoing blood loss exceeding the ability to restore iron levels with oral iron
  • When there is a need to replace iron stores quickly, for example, late in pregnancy or before major surgery to avoid a need for blood transfusions
  • Individuals with chronic kidney disease receiving EPO hormonal treatment

Iron infusion is a treatment where iron is given through a vein and directly enters the bloodstream. It is also called intravenous (IV) iron. A needle or cannula is placed in the arm or the back of the hand, which is then connected to a drip with iron mixed in with a saline solution.

There are different IV iron preparations available; the most commonly used these days is Ferric Carboxymaltose (Ferinject). This is the most recent addition of IV iron, and the main advantage is the significantly shorter duration of infusion of no more than 15 minutes. It is also associated with a lower risk of having an allergic reaction.

Where is an iron infusion administered?

An iron infusion is carried out in a medical facility where trained health professionals can effectively manage side effects if any were to occur during or after the infusion.

No overnight hospitalization stay is necessary with iron infusions. The infusion itself takes around 15 minutes, and after the treatment, there is a period of observation before the patient is discharged.

If you need multiple treatments and there was no reaction during the first infusion, subsequent treatments may be able to be given at your home by a trained nurse, if this service is available.

How do I get started with Iron Infusions at Woodville Rd Medical and Dental?

Step 1: Make a consultation with our GP’s so they can verify that an infusion is necessary. They will require a recent blood test that they can do for you a few days before the Iron Infusion.

Step 2: Make a booking with our Nurse who will do the administration of the Iron infusion.
Note: Iron infusions carry a $200 fee outside the cost of medications (non-rebatable)

How to prepare for an iron infusion

Your doctor will give you specific instructions for preparing for your first iron infusion treatment. Before getting an Iron infusion you will need to undergo a blood test by the administering GP, so they can review the results and see if it is necessary. Once approved there are a few basic things you can do to prepare on the day of your infusion include:

  • eat your breakfast and lunch, as there is no need to fast for an iron infusion
  • take your regular medications
  • be prepared to have a small IV drip put in your arm or hand
  • know how to call for help during your infusion in case you have an adverse reaction

You may feel nervous about your iron infusion. You can help reduce any anxieties by talking about the procedure with your doctor first. They can recommend ways to help you stay comfortable and relaxed during the procedure.

How long after my iron infusion will I start to feel better?

Your iron levels will be restored directly right after the infusion, however, it can take up to two weeks before you start to notice a difference and feel better

What is Fat Loss Management and why is prescribed Weight Loss Medication by a doctor important?

Weight loss is a complex issue and each patient is different. Each patient might have different genetics, metabolism, dietary requirements, exercise requirements, medication, and state of health, which makes each Weight Loss Management important. Incorrect management of weight loss can lead to wasted effort and disappointing results. It is important to lay a good management plan for good results.

A good weight loss management plan designed by our doctors at our Weight Loss Clinic takes into consideration all the factors that influence weight gain and weight loss. One of these major players is Weight Loss Medication. Weight loss medication is prescription only and is an adjunct to conventional means of weight loss. Weight loss medication that we prescribe has shown in studies results of a 15% to 18% weight loss in adults who were overweight or obese. This is a massive change and patients definitely see the benefit.

Many weight loss techniques and programs try to avoid the adjunct of weight loss pills and in some cases, it is a warranted reason. Most times that weight loss pills are not recommended, which is when the weight loss pill is over-the-counter supplements and without the direction of a weight loss management plan created by a doctor. Weight loss medication prescribed by a doctor is very different from supplements bought over the counter. Prescribed Weight Loss Medication has been clinically tested and has proven results.

With our expert doctors, we are able to create a safe and simple weight loss management plan that is a solution to a complex and multi-faceted problem. If you would like to get started on a weight loss journey, book a Bulk billed consultation with Dr. Thayaparan in our bulk-billed Weight loss clinic in Merrylands. Why do I need to do a Weight Loss Doctor at a Weight Loss Clinic?

5 Reasons to see a weight loss doctor at our weight loss clinic?

  1. Prescription Weight Loss Medication.
There are many myths about weight loss supplements, but that is not what we are talking about. We are talking about prescription medication specifically designed to help you lose weight. Getting your hands on these will require a bulk billed health assessment (Nothing out of pocket with a medicare card) and a prescription from our doctors. These prescription weight loss pills have been tested and have shown to give effective results in combination with normal conventional methods. It is important you discuss this properly with your GP to understand how effective the weight loss pills that are prescribed will be and how they play into the weight loss management plan.
  2. Referrals.
Doctors are able to refer patients to required services such as Physiotherapy, Dietitian, and Exercise Physiologists – which can all be bulk billed (Nothing out of pocket with a medicare card). These services help you to manage and maintain your weight loss management plan. Doctors also have the ability to refer you to more extreme weight loss techniques such as surgery for gastric banding, tummy tucks, liposuction, and bariatric surgery. These services help achieve rapid weight loss and can only be achieved by an experienced GP involved in the weight loss programs.
  3. Testing
Testing and assessing your health is super important to measure how much progress you have made. A weight scale, although gives some information is a poor indicator of changes in health. It usually does not take into account body composition changes, additional muscle mass, and many other factors that really determine your progress. Not being able to track progress can be problematic as you lose motivation on your weight loss journey even if you might be making progress. Doctors in our weight loss clinic have the ability to blood test for specific markers that are involved in weight loss (lipids, fat molecules, cholesterol, blood sugar levels, and many more). Doctors can also refer you to places for Fat scans (DEXA scans) which enable you to understand body composition if required.
  4. Road Map
Creating and maintaining a road map for weight loss management is very important for the overall weight loss journey. Not having a weight loss journey usually means that halfway motivation is lost or we end up going down the wrong pathway. Our weight loss doctors are experts in creating weight loss management plans that have pathways that are easy to stick to. They use a combination of medications, surgery, and conventional methods to produce exceptional results. It is important to have this plan so you are confident that you are on the right pathway.
  5. Keep you on track
Weight loss is like a see-saw, where the net calories in must be lower than the net calories out. This equation is modified by prescription medications and surgery but is important to remember during weight loss.  If you are ever confused and fraught with emotions our non-judgemental doctors are able to motivate and keep you on track.

Do I need to see a doctor for prescription medications at a Weight Loss Clinic?

Why do I need to do a Mental Health Therapy?

When should I get Mental Health Help?

  1. If you ever experience thoughts, emotions or behaviours that are out of control, especially when they are affecting your relationships, your work or your sense of well-being. Never feel embarrassed to ask for help at times when you are upset or depressed. There is nothing wrong with asking for help. Everyone needs help at some point, and once you do, things start to get better.
  2. If you ever struggle to deal with life’s painful challenges – such as a major illness, the loss of a loved one, divorce or job problems. These issues may be your own, but could also include those of others you care about. Talking about these issues is normal and you are encouraged to do so. Life is difficult sometimes, but having someone to be a shoulder to rest on, makes it much easier.
  3. If you ever abuse alcohol or drugs which interferes with your health, your emotions, your relationships, your job or your ability to fulfil your daily responsibilities. Escape mechanisms like alcohol abuse or drugs are short term solutions, with long term problems. When you talk to your doctor they will give you options that involve the situation getting better, not worse.
  4. If you are ever confused, fraught with emotions and need the perspectives of a caring yet unbiased person to help sort among difficult choices. This can range from simple basic decisions in life to more complex and emotionally challenging decisions. We are always here to help and advise on what is in your best interest.
  5. If you ever feel that life is no longer worth living, that you are hopeless and have reached the end of the line, and you would rather die than feel the pain of the present. In the midst of such distress, you are not prepared to make life-or-death decisions. Ask for help.
Many people experience this feeling. It is normal but important to address. We are here to help and talk to you about why and how we can make things better!

Top 3 Reasons to Get a Skin Check Today at a Skin Cancer Clinic!

Top 3 Reasons to Get a Skin Check Today at a Skin Cancer Clinic!

  1. Prevention

Skin care is all about protection. When you come in for your bulk-billed skin check at our Skin Cancer Clinic, we will introduce proper prevention strategies to reduce your chances of getting skin cancer. Some of these include:
    – Reducing UV exposure (Hats, sunscreen…the basic stuff)
    – Using a reliable sunscreen (SPF 50+)
    – Avoiding tanning beds (Direct UV radiation)
    – Monthly self-checks (Where to check and how)
    – Regular skin checks (Our doctors will do the precise checks)
At our Bulk Billed Skin cancer clinic, we make sure that we are you understand how and why skin cancer checks are important.

  2. Early Detection in hidden areas

Early detection is key to minimizing cancers and their impact on a patient’s life. When the cancer is found early, especially when pre-cancerous, the cancer has not moved and is quite small. As a result, the removal is quicker, efficient, and less traumatic. Recovery time is also greatly reduced. On the contrary, when cancer is left long term undetected, this can lead to death or long doses of chemotherapy/radiation therapy which negatively impact the quality of life. During your bulk-billed consultation, the doctor will assess different parts of your body that you may have trouble visualizing or feeling. This allows us to check areas and assess places that have not been seen regularly.

  3. Better Treatment

When cancers or unusual growths are found early, there is a much higher rate of curability. While melanoma is a much more serious type of skin cancer due to its aggressive growth, this type of cancer can also be cured if found early.

Skin cancer is one of the most prevalent diseases that targets patients over the age of 30. The good news is that 99 percent of all cases are curable if they are diagnosed and treated early enough. But in order to stop skin cancer, we have to spot it on time. Early detection saves lives, and skin checks should be done every 3 months, especially if you spend time in the sun.

There is nothing out of pocket during the consultation if you have a medicare card, and will allow the doctor to do a thorough skin check. Top 3 Dental hacks for the Proactive Patient

Dental hack 1: Use a Water Flosser

To start our list of dental hacks, we have to first address and explain many of our patient’s problems. Many patients always ask why do I need to floss…I already brush my teeth! Many patients complain that their gums bleed, especially when they brush. It is an uncomfortable sight to see blood coming out of your mouth, but it’s one that many people see. The reason we bleed from our mouth is because of unhealthy gums (Gingivitis).

But flossing and brushing do two entirely different things and prevent two entirely different diseases. Brushing prevents decay or also known as dental caries. Flossing prevents gum and bone disease also known as Gingivitis (infection of the gums) and Periodontitis (infection of the bone holding teeth).

When you have food, plaque and saliva, it hardens on teeth. We call this hard mass Tartar or Calculus. When the Tartar hardens it infects your gum and your bone.

  • When your gums are infected it leads to gum recession or the dropping of the gums, exposing the root surface. This causes:
    • An unaesthetic look with receded gums.
    • It also causes root sensitivity.
    • More importantly, when the bone is infected the bone drops, which leads to less foundation for the tooth. Eventually, the reduction in foundation holding the tooth firm leads to the teeth becoming wobbly and eventually falling out.

Well, how do I prevent Gum and Bone Disease?!

Well here is where the tried and tested request of flossing comes from. When you floss you slow the hardening of the plaque and food, and in turn prevent the formation of tartar. When tartar does not form, you don’t get the infection of the gums and the bone. When the gums and the bone are not infected, the gums stay where they should and the tooth doesn’t become wobbly or fall out.

But flossing is difficult and it is very easy to traumatise the gums when not flossing correctly. This can actually cause more damage than good. This is why we need an effective way of remove food, plaque and saliva from Harding. This is where Water Flossers become very useful. When you normally come in for your cleans, your dentist removes any tartar that has built up with an instrument that vibrates quickly and shoots water to flush the gums and remove any plaque or debris. A Water Flosser is a home-use option to flush the gums and prevent any plaque or debris build-up, thus slowing down any tartar formation just like floss does. Unfortunately, both the floss and Waterpik can’t remove tartar once it has formed, but both are critical in slowing its formation before it is removed during a professional clean by the dentist.

Dental Hack: But why is using a Water Flosser over floss so much of a dental hack?

Here are the pros and cons of using a Water Flosser

      Pros

      • One-off cost. No repeat buys for Floss. Floss can be expensive when you are buying a new floss roll every month. A Water Flosser is a one-off cost, but no continued costs.
      • More effective than floss. The water adapts and bends to the gum contour and flushes any debris out. Floss just disturbs the plaque and removes minimal in comparison.
      • Easier to use in all places, especially hard to reach areas.
      • Less likely to traumatise the gums, with the force of irrigation able to be reduced and increased depending on patient sensitivity.
      • More deep clean. Water from the Water Flosser can engage the gums deeper than floss can.
      • One Water Flosser can be used for the entire family.

      Cons

      • Initial cost being higher.

Gum and bone disease is a lifestyle disease. It is comparable to a heart attack. Both don’t happen overnight, over a few weeks or a few months. It is the years of neglect that really show the effects. Just like with heart disease, doctors recommend having a good diet and 30 minutes of exercise a day, dentist also recommends using the Waterpik daily and come in for 6 monthly cleans.

Most people experience gum and bone disease as early as the late thirties. Unlike a heart attack, where starting a good diet and exercise routine reverses the risks elements of a heart attack- once the damage is done in the gum and bone disease, you can’t reverse those effects. You cannot reverse the lost gum and bone once it has occurred. This is why dentists always stress the 6 monthly cleans to prevent the irreversible state some people find themselves in.

Dental hack 2: Spit No Rinse

Dental hacks that can save you money are exactly what you are looking for, so let’s explain how!

Dental decay, known as dental caries, can be debilitating. It can cause severe pain and sleepless nights. Most people know to brush their teeth to prevent this, but they don’t actually know how it happens.

How does dental decay happen?

Inside your mouth, there is food (Carbohydrates) and bacteria. When bacteria eat the food, they produce acids. These acids form a hole in your tooth and that is known as dental decay. It’s really simple.

Now, why do Dentists say “No sugar”. Well, sugars are just very simple carbohydrates, and bacteria LOVE sugar. They eat through that much faster than more complex carbohydrates and therefore produce more acids when eating sugars.

How do I stop dental decay?

Well if there are only 2 components, food and bacteria, then we just need to get rid of one! Now we can’t get rid of all the bacteria, as we need them for other functions and also it would be quite difficult. But we can definitely get rid of the food. This is where effective and careful tooth brushing comes into handy. If you brush really well then you can prevent many of the acids produced by bacteria, damaging the tooth!

One other way is to make your tooth more resistant to decay/acids. The government spends millions of dollars to fluoridate our water for one reason only. It makes kids and adult teeth more acid-resistant. In fact, when fluoride imbues into the tooth, it makes teeth 10 times more acid-resistant/decay-resistant.

Dental Hack: How do I make my teeth more acid-resistant/Decay resistant?!

There are a number of ways to make your teeth more acid-resistant and decay-resistant using fluoride.

  1. Use tap water that is fluoridated already and let that form a more acid-resistant tooth.
  2. When your dentist offers fluoride treatments after a 6 monthly clean, make sure you always get this done. The high dose fluoride will form a protective shield layer that breaks down over time and releases the fluoride into the tooth.
  3. After Brushing…Spit the toothpaste out…and don’t rinse! I know it sounds weird and funny, but it is the most effective method. When you go to the dentist during your cleans, you get a high dosage of fluoride (comparatively) for a short period of time, only every 6 months. Some fluoride imbues into the tooth, but most of that is spat out afterwards. What is actually more effective, is low does fluoride repeated over long periods of time. Now surprisingly, fluoride is in most toothpaste for this exact reason. The fluoride in toothpaste, when left on the tooth overnight (or longer than 30mins) really does strengthen teeth and makes them 10 times more acid/decay-resistant. That isn’t an exaggeration, it genuinely makes teeth 10 TIMES more resistant to decay, which means you are 10 TIMES less likely to need a filling. So for yourself and your kids, next time please teach them the correct way to brush. After brushing, just spit but do not rinse. Allow that fluoride to really do its thing and make your teeth strong. Save yourselves the headache of tooth decay in the future by taking care today!

Dental hack 3: Best type of toothbrush

Dental Hack: Sweat the main stuff!

Let’s talk about each option comparison.

  • Soft vs Hard bristles
    • Never go hard bristles. Simple as that. Never a use case for that.
    • Think of your teeth like a wall and the soft bristles like fine sandpaper and the hard bristles like coarse sandpaper. If you repeatedly scrub the same area in the wall for 50 years twice a day for 2 minutes, the coarse hard sandpaper will form a hole in the wall. The soft sandpaper will just smooth the area. It’s the same thing with teeth, where the hard bristles scrub off the enamel and the soft bristles just do enough to remove plaque but never enamel. The same goes with putting too much force when brushing, you will end up removing too much enamel.
    • Soft bristles are the way to go!
  • Electric vs Mechanical (normal toothbrushes)
    • Electric and mechanical toothbrushes can do the exact same thing in theory. They both can scrub away and plaque or food in nooks and crannies in your mouth. So why go electric? While both can do the same thing as a tool, the user needs to find it easy and efficient to use.
      • Electric toothbrushes remove the thought process of scrubbing, which means you can concentrate on actually getting all the spots in your mouth and not missing any. You can drag the brush around your mouth and make sure the rotating bristles do all the work!
      • Electric toothbrush heads are smaller and can fit all the way at the back of your mouth where it’s hard to reach due to a lack of space!
      • Electric toothbrushes rotate faster than the human hand can scrub, which means the cleans are more efficient, shorter and usually more thorough|!
      • Electric toothbrushes have a pressure sensor so you don’t end up scrubbing off all the enamel on your tooth. This prevents any potential sensitivity that may have occurred! As mentioned above, hard bristles or too much hand pressure can lead to root exposure, dentine exposure and high grades of sensitivity. By using control force, ensured by the electric toothbrush, we can prevent any potential sensitivity!
    • The electric toothbrush is the way to go!
  • Sonic or rotary
    • Some brushes use vibrations to clean teeth, while others use a rotating head on the toothbrush. Now you have to understand what the purpose of brushing is. The main reason is to remove food! If you cause vibrations on the bristles that won’t remove food. A rotating head with bristles can sweep the food out for the nooks and crannies and then outside your mouth.
    • Rotary is the way to go!

The best kind of brush is an electric toothbrush with a soft rotating head!
